“Sonja Blomdahl’s work has been celebrated within the context of Massachusetts College of Art and Design’s (MassArt) distinguished history. As part of the ‘Gaining Perspective: A Visual History of MassArt’ exhibition, held from February 19th to March 20th, 2015, her contributions were highlighted alongside fellow alumni.

The exhibition showcased one of Blomdahl’s extraordinary pieces demonstrating her mastery of vessel creation and glassblowing techniques. Her work has been recognized and collected by prestigious institutions, including the American Craft Museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Museum of Decorative Art in Prague, among others.

This exhibition, as President Steinberg noted, served to highlight MassArt alumni within the broader context of the college’s rich history, underscoring the enduring impact of its graduates on the world of art and design.”
